About
Over a year ago I started my quest to find blank dice to use for my own prototypes. All I could find were the standard blank dice that go for 70-80 cents each. I tried some of them, but the stickers kept wearing off after the heavy amount of play testing that the Houston boardgaming groups do. This prompted my quest for dice that would protect stickers.
In time, I found that some Hasbro games use indented blank dice, or recessed blank dice. Hasbro was willing to part with replacement dice but you could only get so many of them at once and had to use checks. As I don’t use checks, I was out of luck. I did however inform others who were looking for a small number of such dice of Hasbro’s replacement component department.
About two or three weeks of searching later, I found a supplier of the indented blank dice you see on this website. Unfortunately, they only sell exceptionally large trade orders. Lucky for me, I wanted that many. This prompted me to purchase a large first order. They came in the standard colors of Red, Yellow, Blue, Black and White. People began to want them as well, so I sold them off in sets. I picked sets because it makes the book keeping easier on me as I don’t have to worry about one color running out before the other.
This solved my problem with having blank dice for prototypes. It also allowed me to assist other designers, or individuals creating Print and Play games, find the dice they needed. Recently, I realized I needed five more colors, so I spoke with the manufacturer and they provided five new colors (Brown, Green, Orange, Purple and Pink). Again I purchased over 5,000 dice.
People have responded and enjoy the dice they’ve purchased. All the money that comes from selling these blank dice go towards purchasing replacement dice and in the future, custom colors and perhaps other hard to find game bits. Also, for people coming fromĀ www.boardgamegeek.com, I donate 3% of the purchase to the website to support such an excellent gaming resource.
Thank you for time and if there is anything specific you are looking for, please don’t hesitate to email me a question.

This may be a bit odd, but could you tell me how heavy these dice are?
